Students gain deeper understanding of what’s needed to secure employment in entertainment and sports. Zane Stoddard '92 (BA, Journalism/English) will share insight into what students can do now to be successful after getting the job.
The workshop is co-hosted with the Eller Sports Management Program.
A bit about Mr. Stoddard:
Currently manages NASCAR's Los Angeles office, overseeing the Youth Platform, Content Development, Entertainment Marketing, and Events.
An innovative brand builder, business developer, and content creator with 20+ years of experience producing outside-the-box, high-impact brand and entertainment marketing solutions, new business and revenue for multiple elite sports, entertainment, and consumer properties.
Responsible for the conception and launching of the NBA’s Los Angeles/West Coast office and Entertainment Marketing division, managing the unit for nine years.
Partnered in the launch of and led the business development and marketing for a record company start-up, signed by major label Interscope/Geffen Records.
Has orchestrated brand marketing initiatives and strategic partnerships for major brands, including Coca-Cola, Bank of America, AT&T, Gatorade, Quiksilver, ARCO, Target, and Budweiser.
Created and built the high-profile and renowned NBA-branded event marketing platform, NBA Entertainment League.
