Silver Legacy Resort Casino is looking for a Human Resources Training Coordinator.

The primary responsibility of this position is to facilitate all aspects of the New Hire Orientation and assist with the onboarding process. 

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following)

This position will support the coordination, implementation, reinforcement and evaluation of learning development strategies, structures and processes for improving the performance and effectiveness for Silver Legacy, Eldorado and Circus Circus.

  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation
  • Deliver a dynamic and energetic New Hire Orientation presentation aligned with Eldorado Resorts, Inc. culture
  • Organize and manage all new hire paperwork and training material used in New Hire Orientation
  • Keep management informed and up-to-date on New Hire Orientation training needs and conducting assessments as needed
  • Support upper-management and work in the best interest of the Reno Regional Properties and Eldorado Resorts, Inc.
  • Assist with other Training functions as assigned by the Training Manager

 

Requirements:

 

PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Possess skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with management and Team Members. Good organizational skills required. Excellent communication skills.  Ability to perform basic math.  Read, write, and communicate verbally in English. Ability to interpret, to adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures. Working knowledge of MS Office, and AS400. In addition, performs assigned duties to the best of their ability; adhering to behavior, dress and grooming guidelines; treating each guest and co-worker with courtesy and respect; conducting themselves so that their decisions and actions are in the best interest of guests, co-workers and the Silver Legacy, while promoting a safe work environment and reporting any problems as they arise. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience in a similar role may be substituted for education.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

Occasionally works alone and may work unsupervised for long periods. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be performed in areas, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, dimly lit or brightly illuminated.  Requires the use of computers, calculators, and telephones. 

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS: (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position).

Requires frequent sitting and/or standing, fine motor skills, finger manipulation, pinching and grasping, use of office equipment, such as computer terminal, keyboard, mouse, printer, photo copier, telephone, fax machine and shredding machine. Occasional walking, bending, twisting, reaching and stooping from the floor to 6ft; lifting, pulling, carrying and pushing of boxes weighing up to 30 lbs. Requires the ability to speak clearly and hear. Possess the skills to instruct, supervise, influence others, follow directions, meet time requirements, memorization, problem solve using independent judgment and decision-making skills.
