    The Interactive Marketing Team

    As a key member of the Interactive Marketing Team, the Web Developer successfully integrates backend systems in order to meet Marketing goals and objectives. The ideal candidate is passionate about how the integration of multiple backend systems and hosted solutions drives user experience and conversions. He/she is a team player who is a pinch hitter on front end web work/content and who enjoys teaching others.

    The Interactive Web Developer focuses on both server-side and web programming languages that drive the display of content in the browser on any device with the primary objective of achieving conversions. As a member of the Interactive Marketing Team and a close partner with IT, he/she is also eager to learn, shares knowledge, trains others and is involved in brainstorming; introducing new ideas and implementing emerging technologies that keep the Silver Legacy Casino Resort in the forefront of online innovation.

     

     

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Required Experience & Skill Sets

    • Custom web application development and understanding of the underlying systems upon which web applications are developed.
    • Has setup and developed a CMS (Content Management System) framework. Using a new or existing CMS, has implemented custom coding and modifications. Experience with Ektron a plus.
    • Has worked with at least one ESP (Email Service Provider), setting up and developing custom modifications requiring SQL to create queries and stored procedures. Experience with StrongView a plus.
    • Strong experience in connecting multiple CMD (Customer Marketing Databases) on the backend in order to send targeted messages via direct marketing channels such as email in addition to a custoimzed web experience.
    • Brings an advanced knowledge of SQL in order to develop and maintain APIs across multiple in-house platforms and hosted services. SQL, MS Windows, Linux and ASP.NET required. Integration between AS/400 and MS Windows is current setup.
    • Experience with technologies and languages that power the web such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery and Ajax. Has used XML HTTP Request and JavaScript to create web applications.
    • Has been the lead Web Developer for new web site development, database management and design using ASP.NET.
    • Experience with booking engines related to hospitality such as ResNet a plus.
    • Experience with Google Analytics or similar platform a plus.
    • Resourceful in using current tools and technologies to troubleshoot and identify opportunities to constantly improve online performance such as Screaming Frog and Google Webmaster Tools.

     

     

    Essential Functions (includes but is not limited to the following):

    • Designs and configures back-end interfaces and functionality that support all online marketing channels from SEO to SEM, Email and Social Media.
    • Passes parameters, implements tracking codes and validates accuracy for online marketing initiatives including and not limited to retargeting and Google Analytics.
    • Collaborates closely with other Interactive Team Members and IT on projects and systems that connect to the web.
    • Accurately estimates the level of effort and resources required for project deliverables. Ability to prioritize projects effectively according to the strategic goals and resource availability.
    • Ensures all necessary back-end functionality has been correctly implemented into web applications and is responsible for maintaining quality and consistency.
    • Is a self-directed leader with excellent communication and organizational skills.
    • Communicates with Interactive Marketing Director, project managers and other team members to ensure that project timelines remain on schedule and/or updates frequently when delays arise.
    • Demonstrates the ability to solve complex technical problems and take responsibility in delivering timely solutions.
    • Performs code reviews and defines best practices and coding methodologies to ensure quality in the long-run.
    • Helps with web site front-end design, content and email as a cross-trained member of the Team.
    • Serves as an Interactive Marketing Team member who values cross-training, having fun, sharing knowledge, helping each other, learning and growing as a Team.

     

     

    Education, Certificates, Degrees, or Licenses Required:

    • Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college (or equivalent experience) with a concentration in online marketing/web development, information systems or computer science required.
    • Experience: Minimum of two to five years of hands-on backend web development experience required.
    • Certificate/License: Any experience working for a Google Partner and hands-on Google Webmaster/Analyzer tools highly valued.
